SJH Men at Football Tournament
A group of men from our Sunday night football project too part in the annual Ambassadors football tournament recently. The group is comprised mainly of men from the church, those new to the UK, and older youth from our neighbourhood. It’s lovely to see this group of men from different backgrounds, nationalities and cultures bonding and forming friendships.
The team played well - but unfortunately went out in the round of 16 after dominating their game, but conceding a singled goal!

One of the project leaders, Stephen Millar, commented on how important the Sunday football project is to some of the local guys. They have reported to him that:
“Sunday football [is] the highlight of their week and they start getting excited as soon as it gets to Friday.”
