Winter Blues Ball Report
Members and friends of St John's Hoxton dressed to impress on Friday 2nd February to raise more than £2,000 for the church’s kids and youth department.
At our second annual Winter Blues Ball, this year organised by Juliet Johnson, more than 70 people attended and were treated to cocktails, dancing, musical performances by students from Mountview Drama School, as well as our very own Sara Hunter, Serenite Isungapala, Caleb Hunter with back up from the SJH Youth choir!
Ann-Marie Nye, Churchwarden, said:
“Stepping into the church felt like stepping into a glitzy ballroom during the 1940s in the heart of the city. Small intimate table settings with bluesy lighting to match. It was very chic, very decadent with beautiful cocktail music playing. The Mountview performers were amazing. So talented. As for Serenite and Caleb and the SJH Youth Choir, simply out of this world! I could’ve listened to them all night. They need to form a band!”
Exciting prizes were up for grabs through the 'Silent Auction' and our Raffle. Winners all went home very happy!
